The melting point of magnesium alloy is lower than that of aluminum alloy, and the die-casting performance is good. The tensile strength of magnesium alloy castings is equivalent to that of aluminum alloy castings, generally up to 250MPa, and the highest can reach more than 600Mpa. Yield strength, elongation and aluminum alloy are not much different.
Magnesium alloy also has good corrosion resistance, electromagnetic shielding performance, and radiation protection performance, and can be 100% recycled and reused.
Magnesium alloy parts have higher stability, and the casting line of die castings has high dimensional accuracy, and can be processed with high precision.
Magnesium alloy has good die-casting performance, and the minimum wall thickness of die-casting parts can reach 0.5mm. It is suitable for manufacturing various die-casting parts of automobiles.
However, the linear expansion coefficient of magnesium alloy is very large, reaching 25-26 μm/m℃, while that of aluminum alloy is 23 μm/m℃, brass is about 20 μm/m℃, structural steel is 12 μm/m℃, and cast iron is about 10 μm/m℃. m°C, rock (granite, marble, etc.) is only 5-9 μm/m°C, and glass is 5-11 μm/m°C.

Processing technology:
Compared with traditional magnesium alloy, Semi-continuous casting has higher strength and extensibility on its organization and composition.
1. Magnesium liquid pouring directly from the holding furnace and making it rapidly crystallization by pipetting and twice refining with high purity and less impurity. it can improve the compactness of the inner metallurgical structure of magnesium rod and make its a more reasonably inner densification crystallization. And the physical nature is greatly enhanced comparing to the traditional casting products.
2. The impurities in rhyolite even tends to zero in the molding product. semi continuous casting magnesium alloy adopts new inert gas protection device, which greatly reducing the amount of entrapped slag and improving the product quality . in the traditional process , the smelting process is completely exposed to the air, which can only inflaming retarding by rholite etc.
3. The surface is smooth and clean, no porosity, no shrinkage, no slag inclusion.
4. The length is flexible. Its existing maximum diameter is Φ600mm. it can be peeled, cut as customized. In addition, we also can produce other different specification product to meet customers’requirement. Various of specifications of magnesium ally flat bar can be semi continuous cast.
