Magnesium alloy sheets are prone to fracture during cold deformation, so reprocessing such as straightening and secondary bending is not allowed on the same bent part. In the process of cold deformation of magnesium alloy sheets, when bending at 90 degrees, the rebound due to elastic recovery can even reach 30 degrees.

There are many factors that affect springback, including the material being bent, tools used, bending speed and holding time. AZ31B thin plate below room temperature is recommended to use springback tolerance for right-angle bending forming.

Flux slag inclusion is caused by unreasonable smelting and refining process, improper selection of flux and overheating of melt. When the process is reasonable, refining and covering agent are selected properly, the flux slag inclusion waste generally does not exceed a few percent.
